Minutes of the East Durham College Curriculum Quality & Standards Committee held on 10th June 2021

308 Apologises for Absence:

There were no apologies. 

Clerk advised that the Assistant Principal Curriculum would join the meeting late.  

309 Conflicts of Interest

There were no conflicts of interest. 

310 Minutes of meeting March 2021

AGREED 

The committee approved the minutes of the meeting held on 11th March 2021.

311 Matters Arising

There were no matters arising and it was agreed that all issues raised at previous meeting were acknowledged and actioned.

312 Outcomes of Internal & External Peer Review

The Vice Principal presented the report. This report was considered to be confidential due to commercial sensitivity. 

313 Assessment Update

The Vice Principal Curriculum and Performance presented the report. This report was considered to be confidential due to commercial sensitivity. 

314 Progress Report on Quality Improvement Plan 2020/21

The Vice Principal Curriculum and Performance presented the Progress report on the Quality Improvement Plan 2020/21.  This report was considered to be confidential due to commercial sensitivity. 

315 Curriculum Key Performance Indicators

The Assistant Principal presented the report and outlined the key issues and actions undertaken. The report was considered to be confidential due to commercial sensitivity.

316 Review of CEIAG Policy

The 2-year CEIAG policy had been circulated electronically and the Vice Principal Curriculum and Performance advised that there been very minor changes which were highlighted in the document.  Governors were requested to approve the updated policy. 

The Committee noted the changes and approved the Policy. 

317 Annual Schedule of reports and Reviews for 2021/22

The annual schedule of reports and reviews had been circulated prior to the meeting.  

clarification around reviewing Student Mental Health and the Vice Principal Curriculum and Performance advised that this was reviewed each term and information would be included in the KPI paper.  

The Committee noted and approved the schedule.
