All ED6 Year 11 applicants are invited to our Bridging Week events running throughout W/c Monday 23rd to Friday 27th June 2024.
This is a great opportunity for you to meet subject teachers and visit departments to learn how best to prepare yourself for the new term in September 2025.
All students are welcome at ED6, so even if you have not made an application with us yet but you are interested in finding out what life is like as a student in our Sixth Form, pop along and join us on the Bridging Week.
The days will be divided into sections so that you can have taster lessons in several different subjects of your choice, to help you make final subject decisions and understand more about what it will be like to study A Levels at East Durham Sixth Form. All lessons will be taught here at the Peterlee Campus on the Bridging Week.
Students will also pick up prep work and reading to be done over the summer break to ensure a prompt start to their study in September and to help you get the best possible start at college.
We will also give you additional information about the Sixth Form and be available to answer any questions you may have.
Arrival Time
Please report to the main reception at 9am, for a prompt start in Bridging Lessons at 9.30am.
You do not need to attend all week but we know you will enjoy your week with us, so you should try to attend as many subjects as you can.
Lunch will be provided free of charge.
Please dress informally but sensibly if you will be in the labs (science subjects). We will provide safety equipment in each lab session.
