Arboriculture Workshop

At the Houghall campus, our arboriculture facilities provide a wide range of specialist equipment and resources for those studying tree surgery courses.

The purpose-built arb workshop includes everything from chainsaws to climbing equipment, as well as a stump grinder and chipper.

 In addition to the practical tools, there are several classroom areas available for studying the theory behind tree surgery. The large workbench area is perfect for maintaining essential arborist equipment like chainsaws.

Welcome to Positive Steps Nursery! Found on-site at East Durham College's Peterlee campus, our nursery makes attendance at college easier by providing fantastic childcare facilities for those students who may have young children. It's also open to members of the public looking for childcare.
