EDC Students Organise Pampering Sessions at Learning for Life Centre

East Durham College’s hair and beauty students have been putting smiles on faces as they organised pampering sessions for learners with special educational needs and disabilities at Learning for Life in Consett.

Students organised massages, nails, hairdressing and makeup for the learners, who were thrilled with the results.

Ashleigh Thompson, Care Manager at Learning for Life, said: “Words cannot express how grateful we are for all the learners from EDC who visited us today. The learners got so much from it, and will be talking about it for a long time.

I cried when I saw the photos – I’m so passionate about our learners and to see the smiles you have put on their faces has made my year.

Your students are a credit to you, they did a fantastic job.”
