2018 has been an incredible year at East Durham College’s Sixth Form, ED6 as we have gained our best-ever results in A-Levels since the sixth form opened.
An amazing 33% of all our students earned an A*-A grade in their exams, while 59% earned A*-B grades. 84% of students earned an A*-C grade too.
We’re also extremely proud to announce that for the third year in a row, ED6 students have achieved 100% pass rate in their exams.
These figures put us ahead of sixth forms in our region, proving that our slogan – stay local, go further – isn’t empty words.
Students from ED6 have gone on to even further success after leaving us too, studying at leading universities including Durham, Newcastle and York, taking subjects ranging from marine biology to mathematics.
At ED6, every student matters. We keep our class sizes small to ensure one-to-one tuition with our tutors, which really helps with learning as students don’t feel left out.
