East Durham College is thrilled to announce that Rebecca Hough, floristry tutor at our Houghall campus, has been awarded a silver medal in the British Floral Association (BFA) industry awards in the Floristry Tutor of the Year category 2018.
Earlier this year, Rebecca competed in the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show alongside two of her students, all vying for the title of Chelsea Florist of the Year. This highly sought-after title is awarded to exceptional florists, and Rebecca was successful in winning the title for her stunning design of a floral wedding throne.
At the BFA awards, Rebecca placed 2nd in the Floristry Tutor of the Year category against 28 other floristry tutors across the country.
