Elouise Leonard-Cross, Head of People Strategy & Experience at Northumbrian Water is the college's Enterprise Advisor.
Introduction
Dr Elouise Leonard-Cross is an Occupational Psychologist and Head of People Strategy & Experience for Northumbrian Water Limited. A ‘curious collaborator’, Elouise thrives on asking and exploring the questions to help organisations be happy, healthy and productive places to work. As Chair of CIPD for the last 9 years and a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, she is passionate about making organisations human, inclusive and creating the conditions for innovation and growth. Committed to skills and education, she holds school governor and Board roles and is a mentor for a number of regional programmes.
Elouise's Role
As the college's Enterprise Advisor, Elouise plays a key role in helping to shape and support EDC's Careers Programme through:
- Strategically supporting the college's senior leadership and careers team to develop and evaluate the careers plan.
- Providing a valuable employer's perspective on how the college can embed labour market information and opportunities into the careers programme.
- Engaging with her own organisation and other local businesses and employers in her network to provide a wide variety of careers opportunities at the heart of young people's education.
This has led to the production of a series of videos designed to help educate what 'soft skills' local employers are looking, which are shown to EDC students as part of their tutorial programme, as well as the development of the college's new Supported Internship Programme which provide a highly valued progression option for a number of the college's SEND students.
