Undergraduate student finance in the UK
This section of our website helps to provide an overview of the different fees and loans involved in undergraduate student finance across the UK.
Student Finance England is a service provided by the Student Loans Company. They provide financial support on behalf of the government to students from England entering higher education in the UK.
There’s lots of financial help available; loans (which do have to be paid back) and grants and bursaries (that don’t). Some of the student finance you can get depends on your household income — that is, the income of your parents or your husband, wife or partner.
