As part of your course, you'll learn the ins and outs of everything computing - literally! You'll study different hardware configurations, learn to understand how to build custom PCs and gain a fundamental understanding of how to set up complex IT systems.

Alongside hardware, you'll learn a wide variety of software packages too as well as delving into programming, helping you to understand how coding works and how to build your own software.

The course also covers all the latest trends in ICT including virtual reality and augmented reality, gaming development, systems analysis, networking, databases, web development and much, much more.

T Level in Digital Production, Design & Development

Ready for the next level of learning? At EDC in our computing and IT courses, we're at the cutting-edge of education with our T Level in Digital Production, Design & Development, starting September 2022.

T Levels are a new and exciting way to learn - they combine together all the benefits of a normal vocational college courses with an extended work placement of a minimum of 45 days, ensuring you learn everything you need to know about computing and ICT while also getting to put it into practice in a work environment!

As part of our new T Level programme the college will soon opening a brand new Design and Development lab - watch this space for more information on this state-of-the-art facility coming very soon!

Entry Level IT Courses for Adults

Our full-time vocational computing and ICT course isn't all we have to offer here at EDC!

We also offer a fantastic entry-level ICT skills for adults above the age of 19. If you don't feel confident using computers and a range of digital devices, this course will help you get up to speed.

This course is completely free of charge for most eligible adults.

The T Level EDC Digital Suite

If you're interested in studying ICT, our amazing new T Level Digital Suite is the place to be.

This amazing space has been fully developed with ICT learners in mind, with high-spec PCs, curved monitors, all the software you need and so much more included!

T Level ICT learners will also get access to several other pieces of equipment including a Blackmagic video camera, DJI Mini drones, Xbox Series X consoles and 3D printers, all available in the room for you to use.
