The Technical Academy

East Durham College's plumbing and heating engineering courses take place at the Technical Academy, found on the South West Industrial Estate in Peterlee.

The Technical Academy is East Durham College's specialist training facility for trades just like plumbing and heating.

It was designed to simulate a realistic working environment for our students, where they can get to grips with life in plumbing with all of the facilities, tools and training they need.

Our plumbing and heating workshop includes dedicated training bays with customisable setups depending on the element of the course you're studying. We also work closely with leading boiler engineering firm Baxi, and have a dedicated training facility which houses a wide variety of Baxi boilers.
